The Water Control System (WCS) monitors the water intake with a water level sensor. Water intake is stopped automatically if the normal water level is not reached. If there is water leakage inside the machine, the inlet valve inside the machine closes and water in the suds container is pumped away. A float switch in the drip tray also detects leaking water.

Love my new machine!
I love my new Miele washing machine. I've had it for about 2 months and everything is perfect. The delivery service was amazing - the techs who installed it took away my old machine, installed the new one carefully and took the time to explain how it worked.
The controls are easy to use and there are plenty of wash options. The two things I love most are the Powerwash & how quiet the machine is. The fastest cycle on my old Miele was about 90 minutes & the 49 minute powerwash on this machine gives amazing results plus it saves time. The new machine is super quiet. I live in a small unit and I hardly notice the machine working when it's on.

Bought this in July 2022 as the old one of 10 yrs died. Upgraded and this model is terrible and wish we hadn't bought it. Certainly not an upgrade on the previous model. Cycles are crap and when you turn a cycle on it automatically closes the door so you can hit start but you have to turn off and on and try again on every 2nd or 3rd wash as it locks but doesn't start. Very disappointing considering the previous model had so many more options and was a far superior machine. This machine does not live up to the price we paid.

I think I like my old machine better
I was sad to see my old machine go... It had delivered 15 years of great service before the electronics in it packed up, and were more expensive to replace than buy a new one.
So I got a new machine, and I'm still not convinced. It does some pretty strange things, and I'm scared the electronics are a bit strange as well. I did 4 loads i a row last week and on the 3rd load, it just kept spinning in some thing... I had to turn it off for an hour and start it up again.
Not what you would expect from a Miele.

First front loader experience
We upgraded our old laundry appliances from a top load washer and wall mounted tumble dryer to a Miele front loading washer and dryer.
Even though we received 21 years trouble free service from our old F&P top loader, we elected to purchase a 10-year manufacturer warranty from Miele.
The learning curve has been a bit of a challenge for us, and we are still struggling to regain the soft fluffiness on our Egyptian cotton bath towels.
It seems that a combination of less wash water & higher spin speeds may be contributing to this problem, but we are yet to discover the solution.
The wash times are substantially longer than a top loader, so we have adjusted our wash day scheduling to accommodate this difference.

Really happy with my choice
I've been quite satisfied so far with the performance of my new WD 320 8kg washing machine. It has a good choice of programs and I like being able to twig the program to suit my load eg shorten the wash, increase the water or add a prewash. It is very quiet and like other users I think it should have a beeper option for when the cycle is complete because you just don't hear it finish. My laundry all comes out clean and fresh and probably less crushed then my previous machine. It doesn't have a delayed start and when my children were younger i wouldn't have bought it for this reason as I needed to be able to have loads washed and ready to hang out when i got up in the morning or I wouldn't have been able to get it all done. This option is not so important now that they have grown up.

Everything works as advertised and it’s quiet, which is really nice! I’d love to give it 5 stars but we find the machine ‘walks’ in the spin cycle(?). So don’t know if we’ve not set it up right (we paid for installation); the legs are level and seems stable… so unsure? Other than that, washes nicely, 49min cycle is our go to and extra spin!

Miele WWD 320 8kg washing machine
I’m al little worried. Great machine in the sense that it cleans our sheets really well but it’s only just about 2 months old and just yesterday on our spin cycle, the whole washing machine moved! It actually shifted quite a way, but it’s a really heavy machine and I just couldn’t push it back into position. I’m worried I’ve spent soo much on a reputable German brand and if something is dicky, I’d like it sorted please. Otherwise 2 months down the track, they may just turn around and say it’s out of warranty. Please help. Thank you.

Happy purchase
Love my new machine, it gives a more thorough clean than my old one. Upgraded to get the power wash which is worth it, also happy with the short and extra water settings. Things to note, power wash allows minimum 40 degrees and to correct another review there is definitely a delay start option.
