Convenient but expensive
I found the power disk very easy to use. However its is a very expensive option costing twice as much as my favourite quality dishwasher tablets. I also have to add a rinse aid. I am also disappointed that the power disk is not refillable an attribute that all other auto dose appliances have. Yes it's recyclable but why not make a power disk that I can refill? I see this as a" Fries with that ploy" to increase the profit margins. I would not recommend this unless there was a significant price reduction in the product or Miele made a power disk that could be filled with the dish washing powder of my choice.

Love these Power Disks
I recently bought a new Miele Dishwasher which uses powder PowerDisks. These are so easy and convenient to use!!! Just insert in the position provided in the dishwasher door and you're set for weeks of dishwasher use, depending on your frequency of use. The dishwasher tells you when the disk is nearly empty and then tells you when it needs to be replaced. You can also use normal dishwasher tablets if you run out of disks. The ease of use is great....Just select the cycle you want and press start....no fiddling with tablets or powder, and so much safer if you have little children around. Makes it simple to control your dishwasher from your phone also.

Good wash, terrible packaging, fragile product
While PowerDisks are convenient and do a good job at washing your dishes, cost per a wash they are quite a bit more expensive than a popular dish washing tablet. If you have scheduled regular wash cycles, these make perfect sense.
The way they are shipped needs to be rethought, they have no protection inside the cardboard box. When my box arrived, it was a bit damaged, but this resulted two of the six PowerDisks being broken open and unable to be used.

Simply excelent
When we bought our sensational new Miele dishwasher it came with an offer of a free 6 month's supply of powerdisks, and while I thought that was a nice touch I didn't think we'd continue to use them after the supply ran out as I thought they were a bit "gimmicky" and expensive. But can I just say now how totally wrong I was.
The powerdisks are sensational, they last a full month or more when running the machine every day, and they clean the dishes way better than any tablet. I would never have thought it would make such a different, but the whole "set and forget" aspect of using them along with their superior performance makes them a no brainer for me, and we will most definitely be using them exclusively from now on.

First Bad Idea from Miele
Terrible product. Has trashed all my glassware and tarnished my cutlery. Recently bought my 5th Miele Dishwasher; the first to have this PowerDisk feature. I've stopped using the Powerdisks and reverted to using conventional tablets

Love it
Since I bought my Miele dishwasher around twelve months ago, I have used the power discs exclusively. I thought it would be a more expensive option than the tablets, but not so. I love not having to do anything other than turning on the machine, except for the occasional reminder about the rinse aid. The discs are very easy to insert and though the dishwasher has the option to use either tablet or disc, I would never choose the tablet.

Read the fine print - its 120 washes or 4 months!
The marketing and product description says 6 months but each monthly disk only has enough for 20 cycles. Not sure what you are meant to do for the other 10-11 days of the month - handwash? In reality its not a 6 month supply but 120 washes which means if you are running the dishwasher daily like the majority of households then in reality it works out as about 4 months. Getting tired of the misleading advertising and fine print

Good but don't last 6 months
The PowerDisks do a great job but they don't last a month when using the dishwasher once a day so the 6 PowerDisks being a 6 month supply is a bit misleading.
