The Water Control System (WCS) monitors the water intake with a water level sensor. Water intake is stopped automatically if the normal water level is not reached. If there is water leakage inside the machine, the inlet valve inside the machine closes and water in the suds container is pumped away. A float switch in the drip tray also detects leaking water.

Quality item, just needs a end of cycle alarm.
This Machine washers very well, you can see that your clothes are cleaner than ever. I do have one fault, with the machine, it doesn't have a noise when its finished the load, so you have to keep going and pressing the screen to see if the times up. Other appliances , for example toaster, kettle, all have a sound to let you know there done. If it could keep the count down time up on the screen, that would be helpful too. That is something that I miss from my old washer, but overall, its a great washer of our clothes' got the 10 year warranty, and that great piece of mind having that, Thanks for doing that promotion Miele.

FAULTY!
This is by far the worst machine I have ever owned. I’ve had it for almost two years and it’s been nothing but problematic for me. Doors won’t open, won’t drain, it will leave my clothes soaking wet, every single wash, there’s an issue. I’m sorry but I want either a replacement for this machine or get someone to fix it properly for no charge! NOT worth the money. It’s extremely faulty

Super satisfied in choosing this machine. Highly recommended by Choice magazine, and it shows! Very, very quiet operation, super gentle on my clothing, and spin is very efficient. Good variety of wash programs to choose from, and ‘time remaining’ feature is super handy.

Restrictive functionality
For 10 years I've had an older model and loved it, so when it was time to upgrade I didn't hesitate to buy this new version. However my favourite feature (the 40-minute fast wash) of the old machine is not available in the new machine. This WWD 120 offers a 20-minute fast wash pre-set, but it will not spin the clothes at the fastest speed, so they're still damp at the end of the wash. I need to manually set a drain & spin cycle (another 12 mins) to wring all the water out. This fuss of having to perform 2 manual operations for the same end result (something that was covered by a single pre-set in the old machine) is annoying. I'd appreciate the electronic smarts of this machine much more if there was a function to manually override them. As it is, I've shelled out a lot of money for a product that can do fancy things like un-crease delicate clothes and wash my tent ... functions that I use once or twice a year ... but it won't perform the single, simple task that I need to use on a weekly basis.

Add laundry function doesn’t work
The Add Laundry function is useless because all the water is pumped out, so to add one item of clothing it’s a waste of water. For the machine I bought, I haven’t been able to open the door for three days since I tried to add laundry. The washing program doesn’t switch off even if you unplug the machine for 24 hours. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips and read the user manual. So now I have a load of washing in the machine that I can’t access for a washing machine I paid $1700 for.

A beautiful machine - while the wash cycles take longer than my previous top loader machines, it is gentle on the washing load, & I have never seen such clean laundry!

Great clean in good time
Good machine so far, does a good job cleaning clothes and much faster than my old machine.
Only gripes would be that for the price, i would expect the count-down timer to work for the entire wash, not just the first two minutes. Other problem is that at times, press the start button, machine locks and appears to start, but DOESN'T start the wash... meaning I come back two hours later when my phone alarm goes off only to find the wash didn't work.

Quiet and efficient
Very happy with my purchase! Instructions are easy to follow. Range of wash cycles suit me well, from delicates to eco washes. Clothes are well washed and spun. I like the fact that I am able to add laundry once the wash has commenced (for that item overlooked when prepping the load). The washing cycles are fairly quiet - even the spin cycle! The only downside for me is the length of some of the cycles, but that is fairly consistent for front loaders. Also, there is no 'beep' at the end of cycle.
